Job Description:
Cherrydale Baptist Church is located in a fast-paced, diverse metropolitan suburb of Washington, D.C. We are an independent Baptist church with a strong, growing student ministry serving 7th-12th graders. Our students represent several dozen schools in the area—public, private, and home school. We have an active volunteer youth staff, involved parents, and a growing congregation with newly expanded facilities (open Feb 2010). We are praying for a youth pastor with a contagious zeal for the Lord who has a passion for effectively communicating the gospel to our students, and who desires to raise up leaders by pouring into the lives of students. We are seeking someone with a strong vision for continuing in our partnership with parents, a missional mindset for reaching lost students for Christ, and an ability to lead a team of committed volunteer youth leaders. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, at least one year of Bible education and at least two years of full-time experience leading student ministry.
