Job Description:
Calvary Baptist Church (SBC) is a growing family of evangelical believers located in Arcadia, FL one of "America's Best Small Towns." Calvary enjoys expository and encouraging preaching, in-depth Bible studies, celebrative, blended worship, faith and family-oriented fellowship, a heart for global missions, and numerous discipleship and activity ministries for all ages. We are currently looking for the man God has chosen as our next Minister to Students.
Responsibilities include:
- Pastoral leadership of all children and youth K-12
- Recruit, mentor, and direct children and youth lay leadership & teachers
- Plan and direct all ministry and social events for youth (6-12), including
o Weekly discipleship & fellowship activities
o Regular (annual or otherwise) discipleship and missions-related camps/trips
o Community-cooperative projects (school events, fairs/festivals, civic activities, etc.)
- Oversee AWANA Program
- Oversee Children's Worship (K-4)
- Ensure Children and Youth Ministry has continuity and relevance to Church Vision and Mission as well as adherence to Church's Statement of Faith
- Supervisory and support duties, as assigned
Requirements include:
- Minimum bachelor's degree; seminary degree preferred
- A servant's heart, and a desire to lead today's youth to a more intimate relationship with Him through discipleship, activities, and a holy lifestyle
- Commitment to the SBC 2000 Baptist Faith and Message
- A minimum age of 25, prefer married
- 3 years experience as full-time Youth Pastor
- Meet Timothy & Titus pastoral standards
