Position
The video director will develop, grow and lead the Video Arts team, independently produce video projects, and oversee all elements of video production.Responsibilities
a. Recruit, train, develop and lead a team of paid & volunteer video staff.
b. Act as the lead video producer for all video content. This will include independently producing projects, and overseeing other producers, writers, editors and photographers.
c. Oversee the video budget and inventories.
Working Relationships
Will report to and work closely with the program director & technical director toward the successful integration of video content into the weekend services. Will report to and work closely with the executive director of ministries toward the production of key video projects and the realization of an effective video ministry that serves all aspects of the church.
Qualifications
a. Demonstrates the characteristics of a follower of Jesus Christ: loves God, loves others, exhibits a desire to live in relationship with other Christians, and with those who don't know Christ
b. An undergraduate degree in media production or a communications-related major
c. Demonstrated ability to produce professional-grade video, with a minimum of five years experience in broadcast or other commercial production fields
d. Proficient in Final Cut Studio (Final Cut Pro, Motion, Soundtrack Pro, Moveable Type, Compressor, DVD Studio Pro, etc.). Proficient in Adobe Photoshop or equivalent
e. Proficient with audio, lighting and video production hardware in both a production and post-production environment
f. Excellent interviewing & writing skills
g. Skilled in idea development, scripting and storyboarding
h. Strong videography and editing skills
