The First United Methodist Church of Delmar (FUMCD) is seeking to hire an energetic and motivated full time Associate Pastor with strong preaching and pastoral skills. FUMCD is a diverse, multi-generational, family oriented church located in a prime suburban community in the Capital District of upstate New York. Currently, we offer one traditional style Sunday morning service weekly and special seasonal services. The Associate Pastor will work collaboratively with the staff in worship leadership, pastoral care, and program development. A primary objective for this position is to expand worship opportunities, enhance ministry team activities, and organize special events to nurture the spiritual life of the congregation and community and to grow FUMCD membership. The successful candidate will have a M.Div seminary degree and experience compatible with the Methodist tradition. Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience.
