First Presbyterian Church, Goldsboro, NC is looking for a Director of Student Ministries. We are a 950+ member congregation of the PC(USA) deeply rooted in the Reformed tradition, yet looking to bring Christ to the world and the world to Christ in today's post-modern culture.This individual would join our ministry team and be charged with the following ministry responsibilities:
Plan, develop, implement and supervise student ministries in coordination with the Christian Education committee, Session, pastoral staff and student ministry team to establish visions, goal and directions for student ministries.
Plan and implement student service and mission projects.
Build relationships with students and their families. Model, teach and encourage Christ-centered living to youth. Serve as resource for youth ministry activities. Encourage the spiritual development of youth. Establish relationships with youth that extend beyond the church, while emphasizing that the most important relationship for youth is with God.
Recruit, train and work alongside student ministry team.
Support college ministries seasonally.
Share and exemplify a biblically based faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Pray for and with the youth and guide them on their path to accepting Jesus Christ as their Savior.
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
Salary range: negotiable based upon experience and education.
Insurance: major medical and prescription drug plan under the Affiliate's Program of the PC(USA) Board of Pensions.
Vacation: Year 1, one week. Years 2-5, two weeks, Years 6+, three weeks. Continuing Education and Compensatory time with approval from Pastor. FPC has a Sabbatical Program that program staff are eligible to apply for after 5 years of full-time employment.
403b Retirement Savings Plan: Eligible for participation upon employment. FPC will match contributions up to 4% of Annual Salary after the first year of employment.
