Children's Ministry Director
Job Description
Provide Gospel Centered Teaching
1. Oversee the biblical content
-Ensure curriculum is faithful to our church's doctrine & philosophy
-Order and organize each quarter's curriculum
2. Train and equip teachers to communicate biblical truths to children
-Provide teachers with basic classroom management skills
-Provide an understanding of the scope and sequence of the curriculum
-Equip teachers to teach the Bible from a Gospel Centered perspective
-Communicate to parents each quarters' main focuses
-Periodically observe classrooms
3. Utilize opportunities outside of Kid's Club hour to teach, disciple and reach children in our church and community
-Pioneer Club - Take on greater share of main teaching role
-Summer VBS, Children's Choir
Cultivate a Loving Community
1. Recruit, Build, Train and Oversee Children's Ministry Team
2. Resource Parents
-Developing a system to equip parents with recommended resources
-Maintain Children's ministry section of website
3. Keep children registration list current
-Enforce Sign In/Out Policy
-Obtain yearly registration information on each child
-Obtain new families' children info
4. Safety Procedures
-Ensure safety rules are being followed
-Process all child worker applications
-Regular Sunday morning worship
-Pray regularly for your team and the children of our church
-Learn & Develop skills and understanding of Children's Ministry
Commitments
-2-3 Year commitment to provide consistency
-Dependable Presence on Sunday Mornings to greet parents and Children
-Arrive early on Sundays to check set-up & supplies
Requirements
-Degree in Education, Biblical Studies or Equivalent Training Preferred
-2-3 Years Experience in Children's Ministry
