Principle Function: The Media Director is responsible to the Worship Pastor for administering audio and visual support (audio mixing, lighting, and media presentation)to the church.Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain a volunteer-based A/V Technical staff.
2. Provide Audio and Video Technical personnel as needed. At present, the presence of the media director is required for worship team rehearsals, Sunday morning services, and other church events. Personnel for additional meetings (e.g., choir rehearsals, mid-week meetings, funerals, weddings, etc.,) may include a combination of both the media director and volunteer-based A/V staff, as directed by the Worship Pastor.
3. Provide A/V support for children's ministry, youth ministry, and auxiliary ministries by keeping equipment in good working order and providing training and/or guidance for these ministries' volunteers.
4. Develop a Professional A/V environment that is appropriate for a volunteer A/V technical staff to operate.
5. Advise,recommend,& oversee technical equipment upgrades, repairs, and replacements in order to provide the best possible sound, video, and lighting.
