DESIRED SKILLS
College Graduate
Experience with a successful Christian youth ministry preferred
Genuine love for and good rapport with young people
Sensitive to needs of youth with a knowledge of possible solutions
Knowledge and skill in the Bible and principles of Christian education
Well organized, good communication skills, works well with volunteers

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and conduct or oversee weekly Jr. and Sr. High meetings with volunteer youth leaders
Involve youth in ministry, mission projects and church-wide activities
Teach or arrange for Jr. and Sr. High Sunday Bible study
Plan and oversee retreats and mission trips
Recruit and maintain effective volunteer leadership for Jr. and Sr. High programs
Provide both formal and informal training opportunities for volunteer staff
Publish activities to staff, parents, and youth in a timely fashion
Communicate with leaders, youth coaching team, youth and parents by phone, e-mail, text and social media.
Foster open communication with parents and be available to discuss issues related to their youth
Maintain a well-planned, balanced program throughout the year coordinated with the church calendar of events
Formulate and operate within the annual Youth budget
